How does a wave carry a message?
Complete both transmitter and receiver wiring paths.
Audio information modulates a fast electromagnetic carrier. A tuned receiver selects that carrier and recovers the changing audio signal. Radio waves can travel through vacuum; the sound produced by the receiver’s speaker needs a medium.
Illustrative narrow-band receiver tolerance ±0.05 MHz and drawn amplitude modulation. Radio is electromagnetic and needs no air; speaker sound does. Carrier motion is enormously slowed for visibility; no radio hardware or real broadcast occurs.
