How does a steering wheel move road wheels?
Fit the components, then test the mechanism.
The pinion converts column rotation into sideways rack motion. Fixed-length tie rods carry that motion to both steering arms. The two wheel angles follow the linkage geometry; this rig does not claim perfect Ackermann steering.
Ideal planar linkage with 90 mm lateral offset and fixed tie-rod length √(90² + arm²). No Ackermann or tire model; bounded ±120° column travel.
Turn the mean road-wheel angle at least 20°.
Compare steering-column rotation with road-wheel angles.
