How do four diodes keep AC output flowing one way?
Fit all four bridge diodes, source and load
A diagonal diode pair conducts on each half cycle. The pair changes when the source reverses, but the current through the load keeps the same direction.
Sinusoidal source, four ideal diodes with a fixed forward drop, resistive load and no smoothing capacitor. Reported output is the average of the full-wave waveform, not RMS.
Deliver at least 90 mA average with the same output polarity on both half cycles.
Compare load polarity during opposite AC half cycles.
